About Us
Our Roots – From Noah
For as long as I can remember, I’ve been drawn to natural living. Not just as a trend, but as a way of life. I’ve always believed the human body thrives when we return to the basics: real food, clean air, sunlight, movement, and living in rhythm with nature. That belief shaped every part of my lifestyle… except one.
It started to bother me that while I was eating grass-fed meat, drinking raw milk, and avoiding seed oils, I was still using soaps filled with synthetic chemicals and artificial fragrances. It didn’t make sense. So I started digging deeper, learning how soap was traditionally made, what ingredients truly nourish the skin, and how modern formulas have strayed so far from that.
That’s when I started making my own.
I experimented with grass-fed tallow, something our ancestors used for generations. It’s rich in nutrients, incredibly skin-compatible, and honestly, it just made sense. I blended it with pure essential oils for scent and added benefit. No fillers. No lab-made additives. Just simple, real ingredients. The first few batches weren’t perfect, but once I got it right, it felt different. My skin felt better. My conscience felt better.
Then I shared a bar with my friend Elijah.
He immediately understood it. Not just the soap itself, but the bigger picture. The idea that we could take something so basic, so essential, and do it the right way. We started talking more seriously, about what this could be, how we could turn it into something bigger than just a personal project. Not as a gimmick or lifestyle brand, but as a way to help others reconnect with something real, clean, and natural.
That’s how it all began.
A simple desire to make a better bar of soap. A shared vision between two friends. And a belief that small, honest products made with care and intention still matter.
We’re proud to make these products. And we’re just getting started.

Why We Use Tallow
Tallow is timeless. And it’s the core of every bar we make for good reason.
Unlike “vegetable oils” or seed oils commonly used in commercial soaps, grass-fed tallow is packed with bioavailable nutrients your skin can actually recognize and use. It closely resembles the structure of human skin lipids, which makes it incredibly compatible and nourishing. Vitamins A, D, E, and K are all naturally present in tallow in forms your body can absorb directly. This deeply nourishes your skin, much more than just surface-level softness.
It’s also very moisturizing. Tallow sinks in without leaving a greasy residue. It helps restore the skin barrier and holds moisture in, especially for people with dry, sensitive, or damaged skin. The creamy, rich lather it creates is effective, lifting dirt and oil without stripping the skin’s natural defenses.
And then there’s stability. Tallow is a saturated fat, which makes it highly stable, meaning it resists oxidation and doesn’t go rancid like polyunsaturated plant oils do. Not just better for the shelf life of the bar, but better for your skin. In contrast, many plant-based soaps are made with oils high in linoleic acid and other unstable fatty acids. These can oxidize, damage your skin barrier, and even contribute to increased sun sensitivity and dryness over time.
Your skin is your largest organ. What you put on it matters.
Tallow isn’t just an ingredient we use. It’s the foundation of Bark & Blossom. rich, restorative, and rooted in nature.
